Room Service Buying Guide

Room Service

If you offer room service you will need all the right equipment to make sure that food arrives at your guests’ bedrooms piping hot as well as beautifully presented. To make it easy for you to choose everything you need, our handy guide below will help you make your decisions.

  • Trays make sure you have ample trays available. There are different materials and sizes to choose from, including polypropylene and chrome finishes.  Sizes range from 14” to 16” so keep a variety together and include a non-slip treatment to help prevent accidents happening.
  • Tray Stands make it easy for your guests to enjoy their meal and for your room service staff to set up the room service tray with tray stands. These fold up for easy storage and are lightweight enough to carry without any discomfort.  Made out of sleek stainless steel or smart mahogany wood, they provide a very stable and secure base for trays.
  • Tray Mats dress up your guests’ meals with attractive tray mats in different shapes and sizes. Tray mats are useful for many different reasons.  They make the room service tray look much more attractive so add to good looking food presentation, they are completely disposable so reduce the task of cleaning, they come with handsome edging and trims and they fit a multitude of different trays.  Choose from different designs including lace detail or embossing.
  • Plate Covers plate covers and plate warmers are designed to keep food hot and appetising but they also add to good looking presentation. If you offer room service, these items are important to have readily available and you should have plenty of different sizes to fit your crockery.  Plate warmers and covers are also used for buffet use and in restaurants.  Choose from Maitre D’hotel servery cloches, stainless steel plate covers, polycarbonate plate covers, plate warmer bases and wire food warmers.
