Alliance London & Starlight Foundation Charity Golf Day
Alliance London are hosting a charity golf day to raise funds and awareness for the Starlight Foundation.
On the 13th of July, the Alliance London branch is hosting a charity golf day to raise funds and awareness for the Starlight foundation. The event is set to take place at the 18-hole golf course at Wycombe Heights Golf Club in High Wycombe.
The Starlight Foundation is a national charity which works to support families that have seriously and terminally ill children. They actively promote and support children’s play in healthcare, supporting children to experience the power of play to boost their wellbeing and resilience during illness. The Foundation began in 1986 when Emma Samms and Peter Samuelson started the charity. This came after Emma had previously raised funds for a trip for her friend Sean who had a brain tumour and she saw the impact the resulting visit to Disneyland had on both him and his family. Since foundation they have helped countless seriously and terminally ill children across the UK.
At Alliance London, and in turn the wider business of Alliance National, we share these values of family and enjoying precious time together which is why we are so keen to support the Starlight Foundation with this fund-raising event. We have previously hosted other charity days, along with golfing events and we felt this would be a great way to raise money for a great cause like the Starlight Foundation.
All places for the day have been filled with individuals donating £75 each and teams of four giving £300 per team.
We have a multitude of prizes to be won including shopping vouchers, bottles of wine, Titleist golf clubs, a motocaddy S1, a Bushnell pro range finder and products from our suppliers. We even have a hole in one prize on the 16th hole in the form of a car up to the value of £35,000.
Furthermore, we have an auction on the day too with items including a box and dancing booth at an ABBA concert in November which fits up to 12 people (worth £2,500 which has been donated by the organiser of the event Raymond McCully and his wife Alli McCully). The auction also has a 3-night European city trip for two (flights and hotel included) which has been donated by Globe Vehicle Hire & Sales, a 10-physio session worth £600 thanks to NBS Physio and Alliance London have donated a weekend in London with theatre tickets (value £1,000) too. There are various other prizes up for grabs and we would like to thank the following of our suppliers who have donated prizes: Utopia Tableware, Steelite International, Elia International, Merley Paper, Diversey and S & J Polythene and Paper.
We at Alliance London would also like the thank the wider business of Alliance National for their £3,000 donation towards the Starlight Foundation too.
