Our Range of Commercial Ice Makers

At Alliance Online we pride ourselves on offering our customers the best available options when it comes to capital equipment and our ice makers are no exception. With ice makers from Manitowoc, Scotsman and Master Frost it means our range is very reliable and have been built to withstand the daily use they're likely to endure in your busy café, bar, or restaurant.

We offer a wide range of ice making products which have slightly different uses and functions such as ice makers, ice dicers, ice crushers and ice flakers, but what does each one mean:

  • Ice Maker - An ice maker is pretty self-explanatory in so much that it is a machine that turns water into ice on a commercial scale allowing venues to have a plentiful amount of ice always readily available for drinks which are being served.

  • Ice Dicer - Ice Dicers are ice making machines which typically have an additional function which comes in the form of offering different sizes of diced ice cubes. The machines are usually better at creating cube shaped ice by way of dicing the ice made into either a half dice, dice or large dice option.

  • Ice Crusher - Typically an ice crusher will crush ice into different textures depending on how the ice is going to be used. Normally, ice crushers include fine, medium and coarse options allowing bar staff to select the necessary level of crushing capacity to achieve what they require.

  • Ice Flakers - Flaked ice is a regular addition to cocktails and cold drinks as it is a great filler which melts quickly meaning customers are not left with large ice cubes at the bottom of their drinks. Flaked ice is typically irregular sized small chunks of ice which can be used in drinks, food display, fish transportation and more.

FAQs

Why does my ice have a bad odour or taste?

A bad odour or taste in the ice your machine is producing may be an indicator that your water filter needs changing. As a general rule you should aim to change your water filter every six months to prevent odour or taste imperfections in the ice. Equally, if you are storing the ice the machine is making in a freezer the ice may be taking on odours and tastes from other items in the freezer.

What is the cause of the white specks in my cubes?

The white specks are caused by minerals in the water which is not visible whilst in its liquid state. As the water freezes the minerals freeze in place creating white specks. A way you can prevent this from happening is by installing a water filter which can help to remove water impurities being fed into the ice machine.
