Bain Marie

More information
Make life easier with these quality wet and dry heat Bain Maries. Essentially a double saucepan method, ideal for slowly heating up liquids that would otherwise curdle or keeping food warm once cooked.

The term "Bain Marie" comes from medieval times when the slow heating method was invented using a double walled container filled with water. In kitchens these days you can find 2 different types of bain marie's - wet and dry heat. An example of where you may find a bain marie is in your local chippy! The mushy peas are often stored in one to cook and keep them warm.
